Rest Day in Fredericksburg, TX. We are halfway on our trip. Staying at Baron’s Creek Inn. It along with many of the buildings here are made from sandstone blocks. Much more attractive in person than photos show. Further all the stoplights are hung in a horizontal position in Texas. It makes sense. Also, Germans settled in this area and hence the name of the town and the many German restaurants. We had a yummy meal last night. Finally, WWII Navy Admiral Chester Nimitz came from Fredericksburg TX and his statue sits in the square here.
