Today we started out in full winter gear; it was 35 degrees in Pine Valley, CA and we finished the day 80 miles later in El Centro, CA with temps in the 70s. We came down 6000 feet from Pine Valley and what a downhill it was. We actually came down by getting on Interstate 8 and going down through a canyon. We rode that downhill for more than 10 miles, and we had to stop several times to allow our hands to rest from pulling on the brake levers. Lots of beautiful scenery not actually capable of being captured by phone camera. We came within a hundred yards of the Mexican border and at one point we saw the “wall”. You can see it in a couple of the pictures below. Kind of cool. Their side looked like our side.
